We went to see B&S last night, for the second time at the enmore theatre.
The set list was (something like):

It was the most sheer fun I have had at a gig in a good while. Up right close and with 'neer a distracting fellow audience member or head-blocker in sight! The highlight was a pepped up Electric Renaissance. Delight.
Stuart revived his amusingly dorky dance antics from last time.

But for Ness and I, the novel on-stage personality was the trumpet player, Mick Cooke(?) whose flaccid, fish-faced hooting during the new 'funky' songs struck a delightfully odd note.

is that the official done-by-band setlist, or did you scrawl it during the show? is the former, how did you procure?
were they as good as last time? the set list doesn't look as good (says the person who didn't go and wants it to be so).
i wrote it to remind myself when I got home. nerd me.
I thought it was better, more playful.
I can't remember what they did last time, except a winning 'Get me away from here, I'm dying'.
I understand, you're all grown up and proper now.
they played legal man last time too...I thought you'd got a set list and was surprised I didn't know, given your distinct lack of gloating on the night.
oh and they played if you're feeling sinister at some point (this time) either right before or right after price of a cup of tea. I recall this because both songs included lyrics about tea. I quite enjoyed the passive experience of being in the nosebleed seats, watching it all unfold. The dude sitting one person away from me was a bit over-keen. He danced with his elbows and kept bellowing out for 'get me away from here...', always adding "I love that song" to his girlfriend.
No!
My late-night scribblings were INACCURATE.
I also would have liked 'Get me away from here I'm dying'. I ought to have screamed out, I was close enough to make an impact. Unfortunately feminine socialisation made me retiring and I merely eyed them gratefully.
p.s. Ella, were you not also dancing on your elbows? Playing it cool for your now-acquaintance Stuart, I surmise.
p.p.s. Is it ill-advised to watch two Gregory Peck films in a row if I have exams in one day?
